Kevin M. Roth, M.D.Orthopedic Surgeon

Kevin M. Roth, M.D. - Orthopedic Surgeon

Dr. Kevin Roth is an expert orthopedic surgeon specializing in the surgical treatment of shoulder, hip, knee and sports injuries as well as non-surgical and biologic treatments. Dr. Roth uses the most cutting-edge medical technology and techniques to provide his patients with the best possible outcome.

Dr. Roth’s primary focus is minimally invasive treatments, including hip arthroscopy, complex arthroscopic shoulder and knee surgery. He has an emphasis on injuries that occur in active people, and in addition to caring for and repairing fractures, many of the surgeries he performs focus around repairing or reconstructing various joint injuries, including ligament, tendon and cartilage injuries around the shoulder, elbow, hip, knee and ankle.

Dr. Roth has extensive experience treating athletes of all levels of ability, from Little League to professional. Dr. Roth is currently the Head Team Physician for the East Bay Area’s professional soccer team the Oakland Roots, and is also Head Team Physician for Contra Costa College. While he was in Los Angeles, Dr. Roth served as an Assistant Team Physician for the Los Angeles Lakers, the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Anaheim Ducks, the Los Angeles Kings and the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. Dr. Roth enjoys treating patients of all ages and level, and approaches every problem from a nonoperative perspective first. Often, Dr. Roth can avoid surgery in his patients by creating an individualized physical therapy program or by performing pinpoint biologic injections, including Platelet Rich Plasma and Liposomal Stromal Cell injections to try to kickstart a healing response. Dr. Roth works closely with primary care sports medicine physicians, physical therapists, athletic trainers, chiropractors, physiatrists and rehabilitation specialists to help each of his patients get fit, strong, and healthy faster.

When he’s not treating patients in the office, Dr. Roth enjoys road cycling and mountain biking, skiing, hiking and backpacking, and spending time with his wife and their young twins.
